Laval University's PEPS:
An outstanding location!
Laval University in Quebec City offers École de Hockey de la Capitale all the facilities and equipment it needs to run its summer program. Not only do participants enjoy access to Laval’s physical education and sports pavilion (PEPS), they also benefit from a wide range of campus facilities and services. :

Clean and comfortable private or semi private rooms are available to EHC
participants at campus residences.

A medical clinic and modern university hospital (C.H.U.L.) are close by in case
of illness or injury (24 hour service).

Cafeteria services are available.

Teaching aids include 80 audio-video cassettes, video equipment, giant screen,
radar (skating and shooting speed).

Other facilities available for students to enjoy include playing fields, a
swimming pool, fitness rooms, gymnasiums,tennis courts, softball
diamonds,reading and video rooms, and more.

Daily activities at EHC are closely supervised by our specialized personnel. Staff members include:

Monitors and coordinators

Physical education instructors

Professionals from the NHL and other leagues
Monitors are on hand for all activities to supervise students and
provide individual tips and assistance. A ratio of one monitor for 15 students
is maintained at all times.

Pre-Mite and Mite: 4 monitors

Squirt: 3 monitors

Pee-wee, Bantam, Midget: 2 monitors
All our physical education instructors are university graduates.
They are responsible for the teaching and development of EHC hockey programs.
An on-ice ratio of 1 instructor to 6 students is maintained at all times (1 to
5 for goaltenders). No more than 30 students and 20 goaltenders may be on the
ice together at one time.
At EHC, teacher-players from the NHL and other leagues are
hand-picked by management. Only those with a knack for teaching and a genuine
interest in working with young players are invited to EHC.
